MY NEW SPACE


We’re slowly getting settled in the new house. It sure is wonderful to have so much space and light and peace and quiet. Don’t get me wrong, old neighbor. I am slightly impressed by the fact that you have 3 guitar amps /full drum set / keyboard mixer & sound system combo stuffed into the living room of your two bedroom apartment. I commend you on your pursuit and passion for being a country music singer songwriter someday, but I do not miss the throbbing cadence of your jam sessions impeding my Netflix movie marathons. ANYWAY, check out my new space! Almost completely sponsored by IKEA.

{ Clockwise from top: 1.)My random things wall, which is currently sparse and resembles some kind of baby nursery… needs more stuff. 2.)These are my favorite! 3.) I got two tables on casters providing maximum modularity for all the various projects, hobbies and stuff I get myself into. You can never obtain too much workable surface. That’s my motto… along with too much butter… no such thing as too much butter. }

* SIDE NOTE * One other thing needs to be addressed. This blog. This thing is always in the process of being done and redone… over and over. I have a relentless indecisive disorder. So if things are missing / not working… it probably means that I got distracted before fixing it. Just play along.

Spring Time

I must say, since moving to the desert 4 years ago,  I have missed having distinct seasons. The first year I was here it was quite horrid. HOT / BORING, HOT / MONSOONING and MODERATE BREEZE / HOT SUN are the desert’s only seasons. Once you live here a while you begin to recognize there are nice little evidences of fall, winter and spring. { We did get measurable snow in the mountains this year, so that was exciting and odd. } SPRING is my favorite though… because all the flowers the desert does  not kill, bloom and things get a little greener and less brown… makes it feel like a somewhat normal spring around here.

So in honor of Springtime I found these really great handmade blooms by Emersonmade. Check em out.

I’m not sure I could pull of the belt or corsage, but they would definitely be cute for general decoration! Especially the bottom left, if I could live in a color pallet… They’re so pretty and pretty pricey as well. I hear they’re made out of fabric… wonder if I could make them out of paper? …I smell another craft project. Add it to my growing list.
